Fire Alarm Safety

Dear Owners/Residents,
In an effort to keep our residents safe, we would like to remind our owners, and their tenants, that individual smoke detectors inside of their units are their own responsibility. If a smoke detector inside your unit is making a beeping noise most likely it is in need of new batteries and it is the responsibility of the tenant/owner to make sure their smoke detectors are in working order.
The smoke detectors inside the unit are for your own safety. Do not disabled or disconnect the smoke detector or fire alarm horn inside your unit.
If there is a fire inside of a unit, owners/residents must follow protocol by going into the hallway and activating the fire alarm system by pulling the indicated fire alarm pull station. This is essential as the individual smoke detectors are not connected to the fire alarm system.
We hope all our residents will join us in our continued efforts to keep Sunwood Condominiums a safe place to live.
